So far, the product Horde has been used for the university's webmailer. Due to significant quality and security problems, we were unfortunately forced to discontinue the service at short notice on June 7, 2022. We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused.

Since the shutdown, we have been working hard to offer you a secure and reliable webmail service. We have decided to set up a new webmailer based on the product RoundCube.

Due to the great demand from the student body and the staff, we now offer access to a preview of the new webmailer. With this, you should be able to do basic tasks. As you explore the preview, please note the following points:

The support of the URZ currently receives a lot of inquiries about webmail. If you experience problems with the service or have wishes for the service, please first check whether the problem or wish is already included in the list of known problems. If your problem or request is not yet included, please contact your IT officer so that your request will be recorded.

You can help us determine the order of problems and requests to be processed. To do so, please take the opportunity to take the survey for problems and wishes to the webmail service. The survey results will be continuously incorporated into our decisions. We thank you very much in advance for your feedback.

We expect to be able to offer the new webmail service in regular operation by 1 August 2022. Until then, we thank you for your consideration and wish you a pleasant start with the preview version of the new webmailer.
